HSBC Appoints Jad Atallah as US Head of Banking

NEW YORK -- HSBC today announced the appointment of Jad Atallah as US Head of Banking, effective immediately. Atallah will report to Jason Henderson, President and CEO, US, and Gerry Keefe, Head of Banking, Europe and Americas.

Atallah takes on this role after leading the US Banking Coverage team on an interim basis since October 2025. In this expanded position, Atallah will focus on strengthening client relationships, deepening integration with HSBC’s global platform and driving growth across the business.

“Under Jad’s leadership, we will continue to drive sustainable growth with a focus on client centricity,” said Henderson. “At a time when clients increasingly look to us for connectivity across markets and regions, Jad will play a key role in supporting our strategic priorities in the US while unlocking opportunities throughout our global network.”

Atallah has served as Head of Financial Sponsors Coverage for the Americas since 2022. He has been with HSBC since 2003 and has spent most of his career in the bank’s Leveraged and Acquisition Finance team, developing extensive credit and capital markets expertise and building strong client relationships.

“I’m excited to continue leading this exceptional team as we build on our strong platform to support clients with their growth ambitions, both in the US and globally,” said Atallah. “Together we will focus on delivering the connectivity, expertise and global reach that define HSBC’s strengths.”
